Renowned chefs and vintners will arrive at Yosemite National Park for two time-honored food and wine events: the Bracebridge Dinner in December and the Taste of Yosemite in January.
The elegant seven-course Bracebridge Dinner includes a sumptuous Old England Christmas feast of centuries past and magical theatre performance originally directed by famed photographer Ansel Adams. With more than 100 cast members dressed in 18th century finery and The Majestic Yosemite Hotel’s Dining Room transformed into “Squire Bracebridge”, this performance cloaked in Christmas pageantry tells the tale of Lord Neville of Bracebridge, his household and guests during the holidays. Dates are December 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22. Lodging packages price starts at $460 per night/per person (double occupancy). Dinner-only tickets are $380.
Taste of Yosemite, a month-long culinary extravaganza from January 7-February 2, summons celebrity chefs including Elizabeth Falkner of Food Network’s Next Iron Chef, and former Top Chef contestant Ryan Scott, and acclaimed chefs from in-demand restaurants such as David Bazirgan of Bambera; Sarah and Evan Rich of Rich Table; Peter Chastain of Prima; Brett Cooper of Aster and more. Each session includes chef-led cooking demonstrations, menu tastings showcasing featured restaurants’ specialties and a five-course gala dinner prepared by each session’s headlining chef in The Majestic Yosemite Hotel’s Dining Room. Lodging packages start at $252 per night/per person (double occupancy). Dinner-only tickets are $205, including admission to the gala dinner, access to cooking demonstrations and opening reception.
